Last updated: February 7, 2026

Filedini is owned by Yoshihiro Ito, based in Tokyo, Japan. Filedini values your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, how we obtain your consent, how long we retain it, and with whom we share it.

By using the platform and our services, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of the platform is also subject to our terms and conditions. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Please check this policy periodically for updates.

Definitions

In this Privacy Policy, the term “platform” refers to the Filedini application, website, and services unless referred to individually. “We,” “us,” “our,” and “Filedini” refer to Filedini. “You” and “user” refer to you, the Filedini user.

Information We Collect

Website

We do not use cookies or collect data automatically when you visit our website, except when using Google Analytics (see “Google Analytics” below).

Filedini Application

Filedini includes an optional feature to send anonymous usage information to help improve the application. This is disabled by default in certain regions (such as the EU) and can be enabled or disabled at any time in the app settings.

If enabled, Filedini sends only the following information:

  • Operating system type (e.g., Windows or macOS)
  • Filedini version

We do not collect or send any personal data. In particular, Filedini never sends:

  • File names, paths, folder structure, or file contents
  • Clipboard contents
  • User names, email addresses, or other identifiers

Crash dumps and log files (stored locally)

Filedini may generate log files or crash dumps for troubleshooting purposes. These files are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us automatically. If you choose to send these files to us (for example by email), they will be used only to resolve issues and improve the program.

Configuration files (stored locally)

Filedini stores configuration files locally on your device to maintain your experience across sessions. These files are not shared with any third parties.

How We Use Your Information

  • Improve the application: Anonymous usage information (OS type and Filedini version), if you have enabled it, is used to understand which environments and versions are being used and to prioritize improvements.
  • Support and troubleshooting: Bug reports, crash dumps, or log files that you voluntarily send are used to troubleshoot and improve Filedini.

Data Processing and Service Providers

If you enable the optional anonymous usage feature, the data is processed using Cloudflare services (Cloudflare Workers / Durable Objects) to aggregate counts. We design this system to store aggregated metrics only and not to retain raw event logs longer than necessary for aggregation.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website to track and analyze website usage. Google Analytics may collect data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and interactions with the website.

  • Opting out of Google Analytics: You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on provided by Google.

For more information, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

  • Anonymous usage information: Stored as aggregated metrics (e.g., counts by OS type and app version). We do not intend to retain raw event logs as part of normal operation.
  • Voluntarily provided files (crash reports, logs): Retained only as long as necessary to resolve issues and improve the program, then deleted.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

  • If you have voluntarily shared crash reports or log files with us, you can contact us to request deletion.
  • You can enable or disable the optional anonymous usage feature at any time in the app settings.

Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your data. Filedini does not share your personal data with third parties. We may use service providers (such as Cloudflare) to process data as described above. If we introduce additional third-party services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy.
